Keeping You Moving as an Essential Business

Auburn Hills, Michigan – March 25, 2020 – As you are well aware, the number of confirmed Coronavirus (Covid-19) cases continues to escalate globally. We here at Morrell continue to monitor the outbreak and its potential adverse impact on the supply chain continuity in the industries that we service. Over the past few days, there have been Orders issued by the Governor’s in our states which limit all “nonessential” businesses from operating. However, these Orders recognizes that certain vital functions must continue and that the businesses required to support these functions will be permitted to remain in operation.

In addition to the further guidance provided by the Governor’s Order, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (“CISA”) recently issued a memorandum which addressed those industries determined to be necessary “to public health and safety, as well as economic and national security.” As one of the companies that supply products required for supporting critical industries including agriculture, defense, construction and food, Morrell is deemed to be an “essential” business and, as such, is permitted to remain open. Of course, the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, their families, and our customers remain our top priority. Accordingly, while we will continue to operate as permitted, we are taking active steps to ensure that CDC guidelines continue to be adhered to, including social distancing and, where appropriate, encouraging our sales and support teams to work remotely. Moreover, and as required by the Order, our workforce is being reduced and rotated to assure the continuing ability to provide product lines necessary to support our critical industry customers.

Together, we feel confident that critical staff members working from each location, and additional staff members working remotely, will continue to offer you the exceptional service and support Morrell Group is known for.

Our dedicated team would be happy to hear from you and assist you virtually, with an online meeting, online chat, phone call, or email. During our regular business hours, you can reach our headquarters by phone at 248-373-1600, by email:, by chat:, or speak directly with your local account representative.

We will continue to monitor this situation and will update you as together we work through these unique times. We appreciate your support and wish you all the best and good health.
